Jeff Ficaro has devoted himself to exemplary community service in both his professional and volunteer endeavors.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantryman that included participation in Operation Deny Flight, Southern Watch and Operation Silver Wake. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, Jeff studied Political Science at Northern Illinois University.
Jeff has spent the past 11 years in community banking. In 2011, Jeff joined Standard Bank and Trust Company and serves as an Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager and Small Business Relationship Manager. As a member of the Banks Financial Literacy and Education Committee, Jeff presents a variety of topics including resume writing and interviewing skills to business organizations, local Veteran organizations, student Veteran groups at local colleges and even National Guard units in Indiana.
His volunteer efforts include serving 10 years on the Board of Directors for the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce, with one year as Board President. In honor of his vision and leadership in this role, Jeff has been recognized by the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce as Volunteer of the Year, Businessman of the Year and received the President’s Award for long term service and dedication. Jeff was also recognized as an Outstanding Leader in the Chicago Southland by the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce.
Jeff served 3 years on the Board of Education for Kirby School District 140. He is a member of the VFW, American Legion and Marine Corps League and serves as Treasurer and Board Member for the Disabled Patriot Fund and Board Member for the Northwest Indiana Veterans Action Council. Over the past 7 years, Jeff has also served as a Commissioner on the Mainstreet Commission, Economic and Commerce Commission and Planning Commission for the Village of Tinley Park.
